Alyssa Poole is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she was a scholar athlete, and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2000. Mrs. Poole went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from the prestigious Villanova Law School in May of 2003. Mrs. Poole started her law career as a criminal prosecutor with the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office where she honed her trial skills in the halls of the County Courthouse. As an Assistant District Attorney, Mrs. Poole prosecuted cases ranging in degree from summary up to and including felony offenses. During her last two years with the District Attorney’s office, Mrs. Poole was part of the Special Victims Unit where she primarily prosecuted complex felony cases.
In June of 2007, Mrs. Poole left the District Attorney’s Office to go into private practice at the Law Office of John E. Kusturiss, Jr., P.L.L.C, where Mrs. Poole primarily focused her practice on Criminal Defense, while also representing clients in Family Law matters and Personal Injury cases.
In May of 2014 Mrs. Poole joined The Benari Law Group as a litigation chair working out of the Media office. With more than ten years of experience in the courtroom, Mrs. Poole provides her clients with experience and dedicated representation that are hard to find these days.
In addition in January of 2012, Mrs. Poole was appointed to the Board of the Delaware County Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (DCACDL). As a board member she is responsible for putting together Continuing Legal Education classes, seminars and other events for the Delaware County Criminal Defense Bar.
