When should I contact an attorney?

When should I contact an attorney?

The simple answer is as soon as you think criminal charges may be coming!

Too often clients come to my office after being formally charged with a crime.  By the time I meet with them, they have already given a statement to the police or consented to a search because they didn’t know they had a right to say no.  When it come to your rights you need to be proactive…as soon as you think charges may be coming that is the time to pick up the phone and contact an attorney.  We will take the time to sit down with you and discuss your situation and give you advise that may ultimately mean the difference between you being charged or not being charged with a crime.  The criminal justic system is evidence based.  The police do not just arrest people because they don’t like the look of them or they think that they may have been involved in a criminal matter.  Too often when the police pressure an individual to come in and give a statement it is because they don’t have a strong enough case to arrest that individual.  Don’t make that case stronger for the police by going in and giving a statement!

If you or someone you love think that criminal charges may be coming contact the Law Offices of John E. Kusturiss, Jr., P.L.L.C., today!  Don’t wait until formal charges are filed take the time to meet with one of our attorney’s today so you can take a proactive step in your defense!
